With a firm belief that all is possible through perseverance and pure focus, Olivia Hernandez is a dynamic instructor offering guidance and support to all students seeking the beautiful path of Yoga! Her challenging sequences include creative modifications which allow for students of every ability level to come together and experience the transcendent power of a true yogic practice for the mind, body and soul. A married hippie momma of 2 little monsters, Olivia was born with a neurological disorder which left her Deaf and physically challenged by her mid twenties. Once an avid runner and professional body piercer, she graduated from Chaffey College in 2007 with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts where she learned American Sign Language and developed a passion for all forms of visual art. After a series of spine surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, Olivia began to deteriorate and developed severe anxiety. When her neurologist suggested she try yoga as physical and mental therapy, she found herself on a yoga mat breathing her way to the best state of health she has ever been in!  As her practice blossomed she began to devour every book on yoga she could find, and in 2017 she completed a 200 hour Teacher Training program at Addicted to Yoga under the patient instruction of both Polina Marian and Rhema Flowers. Olivia encourages hard work and proper alignment with a cheeky playfulness and now teaches Ashtanga influenced classes at Rancho Yoga throughout each week!
